Hi there, this is an ‘About’ page.  The term ‘About’ is incredibly broad and encompasses a huge swathe of possibility.  I really hate writing about myself so instead of a long rambling paragraph, here are a list of personal achievements from the last 10 years that mean something to me.

In the last 15 years I have done the following:

– Started a literary journal
– Performed at the Ways With Words Literary Festival
– Co-founded an award-winning food blog (www.diningdevon.com)
– Learnt how to make pizza dough from scratch
– Learnt how to make the most from Social Media
– Learnt how to play poker
– Survived skin cancer three times
– Worked as an ICT Support Technician
– Became an Apple Associate
– Served briefly as Secretary for our local Residents Association and as a committee member.
– Served as Web Editor for COFHE Special Interest Group, implementing a successful social media strategy and taking the lead of a group of seven sub-editors on a large site that represented all areas of the UK.
– Briefly served as ARLG committee member with oversight for Social Media and Communications
– Was a regular participant on the local Spoken Word scene in Exeter
– Mastered the perfect cup of tea
– Learnt the fundamentals of teaching through City & Guilds 7302
– Learnt how to be Mindful
– Learnt too much about the internal functions of Guinea Pigs
– Photography published in local and national press
– Published in local and national magazines writing about all things food, nature, mindfulness and blogging
– Diagnosed with Sarcoidosis
– Got made partially redundant
– Now focusing on writing
– Other things that don’t immediately come to mind
